The Family Fun Day at W. Kerr Scott Reservoir was a great time for the kids and even some adults. We probably had 25 or 30 kids come through and shoot. And we had some adults that shoot compounds but had never shot a traditional bow have fun and enjoy the experience. As you might expect, some of the kids had never shot a bow before but a few were experienced and did quite well.

The quarters we put in the balloons were a big hit and got some big smiles. I think CTA made a few “brownie points” today and hope we get the chance to do it again. The kid in orange shorts couldn’t get enough……I think he came back three times to shoot. I hope his parents get him a bow. He was “bitten” by the archery bug for sure.

It was a hot summer day at the lake but glad we could be a part of it and help introduce more people to traditional archery. And a big thanks to all those who helped make it happen.
