Primitive Weekend and November shoot recap

Posted on November 24, 2015

Hello CTA membership,

We had a great turnout for our primitive skills weekend and November shoot. We had 16 people show up for primitive skills Friday evening/night and that’s a new record for attendance. Our friends from Appalachian State came down to join us and we had a blast. We had a total of 27 for the November shoot the next day. We had fun flint knapping, arrow building, bow working (thanks Bill), atlatl throwing (thanks Rowan!!), fire building (thanks Bruce), arrow shaft straightening (thanks Dan), country cooking (thanks Judy and Bill for that great meal and deserts)) and lots of other contributions by some very nice people. It was nice to have fellowship with all that attended. We hope that we can break a new attendance record next year. I have attached some pictures for you to review above.

Friday and Saturday was still a very successful event even though the weather was not so nice and muzzle loader season started on Saturday. It is so nice to have an indoor range when the weather isn’t perfect. The new CTA range is proving to be everything that we need. Please come out and enjoy “YOUR” club and see how great it is.

CTA promises that you will have fun and you will not leave hungry!!!
